By Assessing Candidates

The majority of those who visit prisons to assess eligible candidates for awards are also members of the Trust’s Management Committee. Assessors are generally interviewed by the Chairman and appointed by the Committee before being confirmed in this role. Upon appointment the assessor is presented with an induction pack as part of the assessor induction process.

Currently we are looking for suitable assessors for candidates at HMP North Sea Camp and HMP Hollesley Bay in East Anglia. If you live or work near either of these prisons and might be interested in becoming an assessor, please contact the Secretary.

If you are a former award winner, or a staff member at a Cat D or women’s prison which may hold prisoners eligible to apply for Hardman Trust Awards, and are interested in doing what you can to promote the award scheme within your prison, please contact the Secretary requesting a set of our posters and information sheets.
