Every year over 2000 people leave prison after a long-term sentence. We know that when we invest in people leaving prison, we all benefit. The individual takes a new path in life. Families reconnect. The wider community is happier, with more people in work, safer neighbourhoods, improved wellbeing, and less crime.

“Many of us, including myself, may look at the obstacles in front of us. The future can look grim – being released from prison after a lengthy sentence is never going to be easy, but the support from
The Hardman Trust has set me on the right path and it has given me a real plan for a productive, bright future. It’s shown me that being positive can be rewarding –
I am over the moon!”
